Folk artists from 8 countries showcase their talents at international ethnic folklore festival
New Delhi ( Tezsamachar Reporter ) – Folklore artists from eight countries showcased their talents at a three-day international ethnic folklore festival held in Delhi NCR recently.With the theme of “Let’s Dance for World Peace”, the 4thInternational Ethnic Folklore Festival (IEFF)saw thecolourful ethnic performances by glocal artists from Russia,Poland, Indonesia, Portugal, Mexico, Lithuaniaand South Korea, besides Indiaat theLingaya’s Lalita Devi Institute of Management & Sciences (LLDIMS) in Mandi.
Shrustii Multicultural Centreandthe Lingaya’s Group of Institutionsamong others joined hands and presented the exciting festival at the Lingaya’s University in Faridabad andDilli Haat also.
The IEFF included mesmerising dance performances, traditional music, workshops and discussions. It wasa vibrant and thrillingfiesta offering a wide range of expertise from world-class folklore artists to impromptu performances on Indian stages. It portrayedthe ethnic ancestral traditions of the participating countries with royal costumes forming a unique cultural diversity thus providing a fun day out for people of all ages and walks of life.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pranav Mishra, Additional Director, LLDIMS, stated that they extended their support to the festival as it provided international forum to the talents of Delhi NCR, where art lovers got an opportunity to explore different cultures under one roof and to enjoy the dances of various countries and provinces of India.
